"It is with much sadness that I learnt of Gordons passing and I am very sorry that he did not get to do the job he was so looking forward to doing - a Presidential position for the Lanarkshire Philatelic Society. I was very much looking forward to working with him as my Vice President and will miss him very much. Gordon always engaged our meetings and took part with a great sense of fun. But, Fate stepped in, and took him away from himself and us all far too early. His memory will be carried with us eternally, and his legacy will carry on with his own personal collection.
